focus52 – week7 – red/love

I am sitting at my computer last minute thinking…ok what am I going to come up with this week? Daydreaming and staring at my keyboard and messy work station I see the perfect subject matter. Didn’t even have to move, grabbed my camera, pulled up the blind, and snap. CF card came out of the camera into the reader and my image onto this page…waalah. And I wonder why my Abs are not quite as firm as they used to be, such is life I guess. The world was literally at my finger tips this week, gotta love that!

Still life..what exactly is still life? To me, it is when I can sit back, reflect on who you I am, a moment in silence, or maybe just John’s nap time .

week 4 – focus52 – leading lines

This weeks theme evoked an unexpected irony for me… I had an idea in my head of what I wanted to photograph but like always I end up with something completely different.  This is good.  I tend to be a planner and when things don’t go exactly the way  ”I plan ”  I quite frequently feel overwhelmed. For some reason this weeks theme has helped me realize that life does not always go as planned and that you have to accept and deal with what is dealt to you.  Easier said then done, right? Knowing is half the battle.

Week 1 – focus52

So I am excited to say that I joined the focus52 group. Each week i will be posting a new image, the image has to be geared towards the assigned prompt…this weeks prompt is SOMETHING NEW.

Today we took a family trip to The Tifft Nature Preserve and the Buffalo Botanical Gardens.This is the first time any of us have been to both locations and they are absolutely beautiful! Kind of Crazy that it was in the 40′s today in Buffalo, NY. My boys and I had an amazing time. This is a picture of my son John, he broke his nose earlier in the week but this did not stop our fun at our 2 NEW favorite places to visit….we will be back!
